THCA 2010 Group Volunteer of the Year Award
Rose Creek Village has been nominated for the Tennessee Health Care's Association's 2010 Group Volunteer of the Year Award.
The local newspaper, The Independent Appeal has announced the THCA 2010 Group Volunteer of the Year Award being received by Rose Creek Village for work we have done at the local Nursing home in Selmer, Tennessee.
Many of the girls and adults here have volunteered but the primary and instrumental ones are Yashanah and Mala. Each week they load up volunteer girls and visit the nursing home. Mala brings her guitar and sings while other attend to the spiritual and physical needs of the residents there. They have given themselves to tirelessly minister to the needs of those that are not able to do much other than sit or lay, waiting for this life to end. They give them hope, laughter and love while they are there. They are the demonstration of a loving and merciful God to them.
