The Kingdom Hikers
There is something new and exciting happening in Nakuru; it can be found in a group of young Kenyan's that have started the journey of a life time. Amidst the hopelessness, depression and general misery that poverty brings, a few young captives of Jesus Christ have begun to stand up and make a difference.
Their hearts are to reach out to their generation and raise the standard of what it means to follow God as a young person. Enter "The Kingdom Hikers". Shaking off the chains and weights of a dead faith, they are seeking a union with the One who is calling them out to be a light to their generation. Their name came as they realized that following Christ is not a stroll in the park but an adventurous "hike" through the highway and byways of this present life. Not only would they have to get in spiritual shape for such a journey but they must be ready to pick up all who want to come with them. They have a deep burden for their friends and other teens who have been affected with Aids or lost their parents to this dreaded disease. They desire to see an end to the specters of stealing, drug abuse and prostitution that plagues the neighborhoods they live in. They know that they have the answer.
If you would like to assist these courageous young people with their vision, join the team that is leading the way in Nakuru. Take your place with all those who would "join the hike". Pray that they will be able to learn how to communicate what they believe to others.
Keep your eye on these dedicated youths because they intend to bring a Light that will light up all Kenya.
